WHERE DO THE HEADSHOTS TAKE PLACE?
All headshot sessions booked through the above calendar will take place at the LWP studio located in East Downtown - Houston.
Specific directions will be given through email once the session is booked.
WHAT IF I WANT MULTIPLE LOOKS?
You can book for multiple looks and outfits by booking additional time slots. Please book 15 minute time slots for each additional look. You can also book a custom session. To inquire for those sessions, please email lwpbylauren@gmail.com
CAN YOU COME TO MY PLACE OF WORK?
We can certainly travel to your place of business for headshots. Additional travel rates do apply for on-location headshots. Please email lwpbylauren@gmail.com to inquire for details.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your session. We have back to back sessions all day. If you do not arrive on time for your appointment, we may not be able to fit you in at another time.
We will have a waiting area for your comfort.
IS HAIR/MAKEUP PROVIDED?
When you show up for your session, come camera ready. We will not be offering hair/makeup. However, once you book, we will send you a list of recommended hair and makeup artists in Houston that you can book with.
CAN YOU TAKE GROUP PHOTOS OF MYSELF AND MY BUSINESS PARTNERS?
These shoots are for individual headshots only. Please email lwpbylauren@gmail.com to inquire for a custom session for your business.
CAN I BRING MY FAMILY? WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH MY CHILD?
We recommend bringing yourself only for your headshot session. Our studio is small, and it is not ideal for young children. There is simply too many stands and cables for them to trip over.
We can certainly photograph any individual above the age of 8. However, you’ll have to buy an additional block of time for each person. This setup is very specific and tight and is only meant to frame one person at a time.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Please dress for the intended usage of the images. Wear colors that compliment well with your hair color, skin tone, and eye color. Avoid clothing that does not fit well, and avoid colors too close to your natural skin tone.
Colors to Avoid: Bright yellow, neon colors, magenta, white shirts without jackets (only a concern if you prefer to shoot your headshots on a white background)
WHAT BACKGROUND COLORS WILL YOU PROVIDE?
We will have black, white, gray, and navy readily available for your headshots. All other background colors will require a custom headshot session.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$150 (plus sales tax) for the 15 minute session plus digital delivery of selects and 1 retouched image.
DO I GET TO CHOOSE WHICH IMAGE I GET RETOUCHED?
Of course you do! You will receive a selection of approximately 15-20 images in a gallery. From there, you will choose which photo you would like retouched.
WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN ONE IMAGE?
You can certainly request more than one image. In fact, many of our clients do get multiple images retouched. You can choose from a few different retouching packages depending on how many retouched images you would like thereafter your session.
CAN I SELECT ONE DIGITAL FOR NOW AND PURCHASE MORE RETOUCHED IMAGES LATER?
Since we frequently purge unsold images, we cannot guarantee that we will have any of your images available for purchase at a later time.
ONCE I PURCHASE THE IMAGES, DO I OWN THE COPYRIGHT?
The copyright of the images belong to Ling Wang Photography. However, your usage license will allow you to use your photos for Web, Print and Social Media in perpetuity. A complete buy-out of the copyrights require separate fees and negotiation.
HOW WILL I GET MY HEADSHOT?
Your headshot will be sent to you via a dropbox link to your email inbox.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RETOUCHED IMAGE?
Our turnaround time is 2 week for gallery delivery, and 1 week after selection to deliver the retouched image(s). A rush fee of $75 can be added to do all of it in a single week.
CAN I FURTHER EDIT MY HEADSHOT AFTER I RECEIVE IT?
We highly recommend that you do not touch your headshots after you receive it. From the lighting, post-production, retouching, to the color toning, the entire process is done thoughtfully and purposefully to industry standard. While certain filters may look tempting to add on, you may find yourself with an over-edited photo that defeats the purpose of keeping your headshots professional.
